The Hardest Days Aren’t the Dramatic Ones
This morning, I didn’t want to go to the gym- mainly because I saw the workout of 50 clean and jerks and 100 wallballs and said out loud, “ah hell nah.”
And honestly, those are the hardest days.
The days when you are motivated are easy. The high‑energy days are easy. The days when everything is clicking? They don’t ask much of you.
But the days when you’re tired… When you feel like you can't get through a workout like that, when progress feels slow… When no one would blame you for staying home… Those are the days that matter.
The Choice That Builds You
Today I had a choice: I could say no. Or I could say Yes!
Yes! to showing up. Yes! to doing something hard. Yes! to keeping a promise to myself.
So I went.
And somewhere between walking through the door and finishing the workout, I remembered something I already knew:
We don’t become stronger by only doing the things we feel like doing. We become stronger when we show up anyway.
The Power of Showing Up
Showing up doesn’t always look impressive.
Sometimes it’s a PR. Sometimes it’s a win. Sometimes it’s a breakthrough.
But sometimes? It’s just putting on your shoes and walking through the door.
And that still counts. Actually, it might count the most.
Because discipline isn’t about ease. It’s about choosing what matters over what feels good right now.
It’s saying: I don’t want to, but I’m going anyway. I’m tired, but I’m still going. This is hard, but I can do hard things.
That mindset changes everything.
Why We Say Yes!
At YES! Athletics, Yes! has never been just a name.
It’s a decision. A declaration. A belief.
It’s choosing to belong in spaces where girls and women were once overlooked
